Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility criteria for IET India Scholarship Award are as follows:
- Open to all full-time 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th-year UG engineering students from AICTE/UGC-approved institutions.
- No specialisation limit; all branches of engineering are included.
- A minimum of 60% aggregate or 6.0 CGPA on a 10-point scale required.
- All credit courses must have been cleared in a single attempt.
- No age limit; applications can be made at any stage of the UG journey.
Note: Both IET members and non-members can apply. However, IET members get a 15% extra weightage in the application.

Selection Process
The selection process for the IET India Scholarship Award 2025 includes the following 4 stages:
Stage 1: Online Application & Evaluation
- Candidates who clear the eligibility criteria are considered.
- Shortlisted candidates are invited for an online test on STEM essentials.
- Top 10 percentile from each region will move to the next stage.
- Weightages: 52% for academics, 20% for extra & co-curricular, 13% for professional, and 15% for IET membership.
- IET student members get 15% additional weightage.
Stage 2: Online Test
- Shortlisted applicants take an All-India online test.
- 50 multiple-choice questions cover subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Engineering fields.
- Top 10% of applicants from each region progress to the next stage.
- Only selected applicants for the regional rounds are contacted by 15th July 2025.
Stage 3: Regional Rounds
- Regional finalists present solutions for 5 identified societal challenges.
- Topics are given at least 10 days in advance.
- The winner from each region proceeds to the National Finals.
- Winners receive mentorship from the Regional Jury members.
- Regional rounds are conducted across 5 regions: North, East & Northeast, South 1, South 2, and West.
Stage 4: National Finals
- National finalists present their solutions and vision in Bengaluru.
- The national jury evaluates based on the presentation and progress across all stages.
- Group discussion may also be held on the day of the finals.
- The venue details and timings will be communicated in advance.
