The Indus Towers Scholarship Program 2025 was introduced to support youth with disabilities from the North – East. Vocational and skill-based courses are being focused. These are to be pursued for jobs or self-employment. 70 youth from Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, and Nagaland will be selected. Courses of 3 months to 1 year is being allowed. A Fee support up to Rs. 70,000 will be provided per candidate. Practical, in-demand skills are being encouraged. Certificates and diplomas are to be earned. By this, economic independence will be helped. Training is being seen as a step to livelihood. The change will not be sudden, but will be real.

About Indus Towers Scholarship Program

The Indus Towers Scholarship Program was launched to support young students with disabilities who wish to study further and achieve dreams. Scholarships for higher education are being offered to those who lacks resources. By this, future professionals are being shaped and their socio-economic growth is promoted. It’s a CSR initiative by Indus Towers Ltd and has been implemented by Shishu Sarothi Centre for Rehabilitation and Training for Multiple Disabilities. Since the year 2016, more than 824 scholars had been reached.

Support is being given where chances were once low. Students From various backgrounds are being guided. Hope is given through education. The goal is clear, but journey is tough. Still, with each Scholar, a step forward is taken and Change is being made.

Objective of Indus Towers Scholarship Program

The objective of the Indus Towers Scholarship Program includes:

  • To support students with disabilities for continuing their higher education.

Scholarship Amount

  • To provide a maximum scholarship amount of Rs. 70,000 to each of the 70 selected youth from Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, and Nagaland.

The eligibility criteria for the scholarship program are as follows:

  • Must be a domicile of Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, or Nagaland.
  • Should have minimum 40% benchmark disability as per certificate.
  • Age should be between 18 to 35 years as on 1st June 2024.
  • Must have passed HSLC/Class 10 or before, with at least 45% marks.
  • Must belong to BPL or low-income group, earning not more than Rs. 6 Lakhs yearly.
