Scholarship Amount

Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for the Ishan Uday Scholarship are as follows:
- Applicants must have a domicile of any North Eastern state like Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, or Tripura.
- A valid domicile certificate from any NER state is required.
- Annual family income should not exceed Rs. 4.5 lakh from all sources.
- Students passing Class 12 from a recognized board in NER can apply.
- Only first-year UG students at eligible institutions in India are allowed.
- Scholarship is given only for a student’s first UG degree.
- It covers the UG course duration as per UGC guidelines.
- For dual-degree courses, only the UG part is covered.
- Regular, full-time UG students are eligible, not distance or private ones.
- Those admitted through management quota cannot apply.

- Universities, colleges, or institutes recognized under section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956, with valid NAAC accreditation.
- Deemed Universities under section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, that have NAAC accreditation.
- Institutions fully funded by the Central or State Government and authorized to grant degrees.
- Institutions of National Importance where UG degree programs are offered.
Note: The university, college, or institute must have a valid AISHE code to access the National Scholarship Portal (NSP). Institutions with an AISHE code can register or re-register on the NSP portal through the District or State nodal officers.
