The Nabanna Scholarship 2025 is a nice help for many students like me who wants to study more but have less money. It is also called the West Bengal Chief Minister’s Relief Fund Scholarship and an amount of Rs. 10,000 is given to those who passed Madhyamik, Higher Secondary or college exams. The objective of Nabanna Scholarship is:

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for the Nabanna Scholarship are as listed below:

  • The applicant should be a permanent resident of the State of West Bengal.
  • He or she must be studying in any school, college or university of the State after passing out Secondary or equivalent / Higher Secondary or equivalent / Under Graduate exam from any Board / Council / University of West Bengal.

  • The total yearly income of the family must not be more than Rs. 1,20,000/- or help will not be given.

  • Registration is allowed only one time in a year which is 365 days.

  • Family Income Certificate has to be taken from proper officer like Minister-in-Charge, Minister of State, DM, SDO, BDO, Joint BDO, Executive Officer (for Municipality area) or Deputy Commissioner and above (for Municipal Corporation area).
  • The student must write a self-declaration with their own signature saying what course they are studying, which year or semester, and if any Government or Non-Government scholarship is already taken. This paper must be signed and stamped by the head of the current institution.
  • Admit card of the 10th standard exam is also needed.
  • Marksheet of the last exam must be given. For help in Higher Secondary, Madhyamik marksheet is needed; for help in UG, HS marksheet is needed; and for PG help, Graduation marksheet must be given.
  • If applying for professional course like Diploma Engineering, B.E., B.Tech., MBBS, Law, Nursing or Pharmacy, the entrance exam rank card must be uploaded.
  • The allotment letter for the admission in those professional courses should also be uploaded.
  • The first page of the student’s bank passbook must be uploaded where account number, IFSC code and account holder’s name is seen clearly.
  • Admission receipt for the current academic year or semester must also be uploaded.
