Fellowship Amount
- Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 31,000 to support their personal and study expenses during the PhD.
- HRA will be provided as per government norms to help with house rent or accommodation.
- A research grant of Rs. 1,00,000 per year will be given to manage research materials, tools, and project work.
- A fixed overhead amount of Rs. 50,000 per year will also be provided to cover additional research-related costs.
Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for the Fellowship program are as follows:
- Must be Indian and only women are allowed to apply.
- Age should be between 27 to 45 years, but SC, ST and PH girls are given 3 years more age.
- Must have a degree like M. Phil., M. Tech., M. Pharm, or any other science postgraduation, B.Tech. degree is also okay.
Note: PhD joining must be done in 6 months after the letter is given. Girls who are doing regular job are not allowed for this program.
Duration of the Scholarship
- The project can be done for a maximum time of 5 years.

Step 1: All those citizens who are eligible for the fellowship, can go to the official DST’s e-PMS portal to start with the application procedure.
Step 2: Applicant must submit proposal to apply for wise Fellowship for PhD (WISE-PhD); for submitting proposal you have to click on Apply for proposal option to proceed further.
Step 3: Now you will be directed to another page, then you should click on New PI Registration option, if you are a new user; this will lead to you to the registration form page.
Step 4: You should now fill out the registration form with required details, like login details (create your own unique login Id), personal information, and contact details, then click on “SUBMIT” button to register yourself on the portal.
Step 5: You should click on Login option, if you are already a user, and then you should enter your Login ID, Password, and code, then click on “Sign In” button to move ahead.
