About Santoor Women Scholarship Programme
The Santoor Women Scholarship Programme was started in 2016-17. It is a joint effort by Wipro Consumer Care and Lighting Group (WCCLG) and Wipro Cares. Young women from disadvantaged backgrounds are aimed to be supported. Those who wish to study further after grade 12. The program runs every year. Support is given until their undergraduate degree is completed. Funds can be used for education and other related needs. Only women students from Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, and Telangana are eligible. The ninth edition is now launched. More than 8,000 students have been helped so far. Studies in sciences, commerce, arts, engineering, medicine, and more are encouraged. A better future is tried to be made.
